Since God is Infinite and we are not, it is in our nature not to be able to grasp Him fully. God is only secretive because we have not searched Him out. It isn’t that he doesn’t want us to find Him. It’s that he doesn’t want to overwhelm us in His presence. God wants us free to love Him or to reject Him. That is our choice to make, not His. Sometimes the apparent secretiveness of God is really our own unwillingness to know Him, or even to search for Him.
