One would think “Sorrowful Friday” might have made a better title. Maybe I’m being like St Peter here, but all the pain, agony and death, and it’s “GOOD!”

God Bless!

The “good” is the salvation our Lord’s sacrifice earned for us.

Sorrowful because of Deicide, yes. Good because it was God’s will being done that we should have salvation opened for us.

Per the Conan O’Brien show of a few years ago, would you prefer we called Good Friday by the Mel Gibson children’s book Jesus and the Bad, Awfull, Horrible, No-Good Day?

(this IS a joke 😊 )

It’s profound that something so sorrowful can be so good!

“Pick up your cross and follow me!”
