Why is is necessary to pray to the Holy Spirit?

Hi greetings from Sydney Australia, A big hello to everyone responsible in running this site

I just want to grow in my Catholic faith.

This is my 1st question

Many Catholics do not pray to the Holy Spirit. How can I convince them to do so? They ask questions like this. Why is it necessary that I pray to the Holy Spirit?
