Yes, but it didn’t say that Islam is right. All it does is acknowledge the fact that they worship the same God. But it also shows how they do not acknowledge Christ as the Son of God.
When we say Islam is wrong, we don’t mean they don’t have any truth at all, but rather an incomplete truth. Anything that is not 100% right is essentially wrong. Having more truth than fallacies is a good thing, but that doesn’t make it right.
So, saying Islam is wrong does not go against our faith or the Church’s teachings.
I agree, as the Church does, that they worship the same God, the God of Abraham, but because they do not have the same understanding of God and Christ as we do, and that I believe Catholicism to be wholly true, that Islam is false.
Side note: I find it interesting that your username is ComeHome2Rome, but your religion is set as Orthodox. And “Come Home to Rome” is basically the mantra of the New Evangelization, or at least for the Catholics Come Home Network.
