Did you send them to the mad house with all these questions???
I don’t usually talk religion with my family or friends or people on the street. I go online where people seek out this kind of discussion so it’s all voluntary, not unwelcomed proselytizing.

I bet you will get better conversation, too.

Thank you,
I try…

Oh, and guess who might be heading back over to the US of A at the end of the year!!!
Yours truly!!!
Ill be seeing you in Florida my dear!
Great! I look forward to seeing you! 👍

Cheers!

I’m late in the game to this thread and will admit that I have not gone through its entirety. I am surprised that there are indeed Muslims who come to this forum.

I have lived around Islam most of my life and am pretty close to the subject. I will say it is interesting that the best answer I saw here was from an Ahmadi, who are not viewed as Muslim at all by the majority of Islam (very much like Mormons are not viewed as Christians by most of Christianity…and for the same reasons).

I can say this: Muhammad is considered to be “the Greatest” of all prophets among Musilms for 2 main reasons: 1. he carried the last, ultimate and greatest revelation 2. He brought the revelation of the Qur’an, which is the enerrant word-for-word dictation from god/Allah which has lasted for over 1000 without ever being changed or corrupted.

The problem here is this; both statements are full of built-in circular logic which no Muslim can escape. Meaning, if someone asks, “Prove that Mohammad was the greatest and last prophet”, they will say, “It was revealed in the Qur’an, the inerrant word of god.” And if you then ask, “Prove that the Quran is the inerrant word of God” they will say, “the greatest prophet, Mohammad, said it was.”

I generally point out that Mohammed a) never performed any miracles, whereas Jesus did. b) Mohammed owned slaves, Jesus didn’t. c) Mohammed married many women and kept concubines whereas Jesus did not d) Mohammed killed and ordered the death of many people whereas Jesus killed no one e) at the last judgement, Muslims believe Jesus will judge mankind as do Christians, and both believe Mohammed did not get such an invitation. So, even if Jesus were merely a prophet as Muslims claim, it is glaringly evident that He was greater than Mohammed.

Muslims have a very high respect for Jesus, so they usually just shrug this one off. But then if you ask them to think through the next logical point: if Jesus were a greater prophet, why would God choose a lesser one to follow Him? Then they go ballistic.

I don’t close my mind, I simply point out flaws in your explanations then wait to see if you have further explanation to correct them somehow.

But I never see that, I see half-baked arguments that even though Jesus prayed to God, he wasn’t really worshiping God. And nonsense like that.

So maybe we should just let it go, you guys can have your mystery and intrigue. I’ll keep my simple one God, one prophet belief that a child could understand.
Please show me which posting I made in which you claim that my argument is half baked. At least you have made two contradictions in this thread and in other thread. Well, I forget that you have that kind of thinking that others is wrong except yours.

No wonder you have that kind of thinking. I forget in one posting that you say you don’t accept any other interpretation other than yours. Sorry for bothering you answering my posting as well as others, I wonder why you should compare/contrast your belief in this forum if you don’t want to see other people’s view.

Well, you can’t even tell us how and why your interpretation is true and flawless. You can’t tell us who is your highpriest, or even what your religion is. You called yourself a muslim, not even an Ahmadian in which I doubt that other muslim will agree. It seems to me you come out of nowhere. You have not answered many of my questions either.

If you still have time to read my posting, I would like to make a little suggestion. Why don’t you claim that the angel of Gabriel or Michael, of Rafael, or maybe the Holyspirit or perhaps Jesus himself, told you and guide you to come out to your self-proclaim the only true interpretation of the Bible. Perhaps as I have said before, you may come out with a new religion and become a new Prophet. I give you a high-five for that.

I forget to ask, will you keep on posting despite you won’t listen and won’t care to what will be said to you?

I am gone for about 17 hours, and my thread gets all crazy. FoA, if you want to continue this discussion, cool. If it dies, so be it. Anyway, I would like some imput from you as to what makes Muhammid the greatest prophet.
Dear Raphinal,

I believe FoA was honest in this case. He does not claim that Muhammad is the greatest. I read his posting.

Trinity is simple math to say that…
  1. Father
  2. Son
  3. Holy Spirit
…are three persons in the Trinity God. Do you see a 3 anywhere in there, in the term TRI, or number of persons? Or is it all just too mysterious?

Man oh man…
  1. FoA brain
  2. FoA fingers typing the keyboard
  3. FoA posting in this thread,
Do you see a 3 anywhere in there? Is this misterious

Man oh man…

We have tried to explain this to you but you wont listen so just stop.

“You can’t tell us who is your highpriest, or even what your religion is”

Jesus is my High Priest, of course, as I’ve said all along. I’ve also said I identify as Muslim because I accept truths in the Quran.

But my preference is not to identify with any religion because I spend too much time explaining, and disassociating myself with all their other doctrines and all their members I disagree with.

Maybe we should just drop Trinity since it went for a while repeating the same things, now it is sinking into frustration and mean-spiritedness, at least with me which I’m sorry about. Like I’ve always said too, I would rather see Christians accept Trinity than not accept Jesus at all, I give you all credit for that.

I have no objection with another thread. FoA, perhaps you can explain why, to you, the hadiths have no weight.

Dear FoA,

Please don’t have any idea that I am offended. I am not. I have told you that I welcome your unique interpretation. Your dissassociation with any religion/doctrine is your way of thinking, and I honor that. In fact, I found your interpretation is interesting. I am kind of busy at this time period facing all the auditors and tax officers. I would like to know more about your interesting idea, perhaps in other thread. I will make myself “a student” of yours listening to your logic then.

But, please consider your word. You make a similar claim to Joseph Smith with his mormonism or Charles Russel with his JW. You claim that your highpriest is Jesus, so do we. But, the way you communicate with Jesus is a mystery to us (not to you off course) as you do not associated with any formal (let’s call it that way) nor any doctrine I know. It does sound a new religion to me, and that is intereting.

Oh come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Is this thread still going??
Ooops, i just bumped it up the list again… doh

Great post. 👍

However, been there, bro. 🙂 So welcome to the world of circular reasonings and learn the thread of deviating from the subject in a debate. 😃

BTW, welcome to the forum!

God bless you.

It’s the way we explain the Trinity that he considers half baked. Maybe it appeared half baked but that because he refused to listen to what we’re saying. You know, mental blocked. Muslims will go ga ga everytime we discuss the Trinity. And no matter how you explain it, even until you are blue in the face, they will claim not to understand. It’s quite frustrating.

BTW, a portion of the CCC on the Trinity been posted, so he should address that if he thinks our explanation is half baked.

The reason he refused to understand is because of the words in the Quran. Muslims think we worship three gods and Mary is one of them. This kind of thought permeates their phsycology and there is nothing we can do about it.

Another reason why they cannot believe the Trinity is because they do not understant the infinite love of God. God as slave master that’s taught to them is unlike God the Father that we know of.

Pretending not to listen to us is simply an evasive tactic. It’s very obvious and frankly, it is very childish.
