Why Is Muhammad The Greatest?

FoA,
You are the only Muslim on this site who holds to this concept. THe others teach that either he was not on the cross at all, that God made it look like he died when he did not, or that he was replaced before death. By these accounts, God is a lier and a fraud. I need clarification.
Most Muslims reject the whole Bible anyway, they just make up their own Gospel, so there’s your answer I guess.

It just means God killed Jesus on the cross before the cross could kill him. That’s why Jesus was yelling out asking why God forsook him, he thought God was going to let the cross and men kill him, spoiling prophecy. So God took him, then he isn’t really killed by a man and didn’t need his legs broken.

Part of why Jews reject Jesus is prophecy that says men can’t kill Messiah. This clears it up to say men didn’t kill him, God did to fulfill prophecy.
This is a really strange scenario. Although I don’t agree with your post, but - if you believe it - that is proof towards Muhammad not being the greatest.

I always said Jesus is the greatest period since he is Messiah, top of the ladder. But what I say fits with prophecy fine.

Isaiah 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

God killed Jesus when he was David’s child, and again on the cross, all for the sins of others.

Abucs;
'My God, my God, why have you foresaken me" is clearly the opening line of psalm 22.

His death with the words
“Lord, into your hands i commend my spirit” is clealy from Psalms 31:6.

FoA:I agree he fulfills them, as a man scared on the cross crying out to God.

That is in the bible. But are these good words? One god is complaining to the other greater God, Why he had forsaken him? We Muslims do not believe that God had ever forsaken Jesus. God had promised Jesus (in the quran) that he will save him from the death on the cross and so he saved him.

Also we see that Jesus prayed earnestly in the garden before arrest. He did not want to drink the cup of death on the cross and he told God about it. It is necessary that his prayer should be heard and accepted. Otherwise it brings bad remarks about the God that he cannot spare the life of his son.

If the earnest prayer of Jesus is not accepted then how will the prayers of all born sinners be accepted?

And according to this, God let people think Jesus had died (or he replaced him with someone else), making God a lier and a deciever. Please explain if I am wrong.

I don’t think it was some one else on the cross. The Jews and the christians are sure that it was Jesus on the cross and he died on the cross. the quran does not say that It was somebody else on the cross.

Sure, it was Jesus alright. So your problem about God decieving the people does not arise.

Then you believe that Jesus died on the cross? IT has to be all or nothing. Either he was on the cross and he died (the Bible is correct) or he did not die on the cross (Koran is correct).

Both are correct. He died on the cross but not from crucifixion, but because God killed him.

This just doesn’t make sense to me. Jesus dies after He suffers a terrible scourging and then is nailed to a cross for 3 hours, but He doesn’t die from the crucifixion because God killed Him? That really takes some mental gymnastics to come to that conclusion!

Not really, he was dead before the other two with him. Besides that Isaiah 42:4 doesn’t really allow for Messiah to be killed by any man. If God does it then he is saving Jesus from that shame, thus why Jesus was crying out that he thought God might forsake him and let him die by the cross.

I don’t know if Muhammad was proved to be the greatest or not in this thread. But judging from these two posts (quoted above), I think we’ve reached a silly place and it’s time to give this thread away. Bye-bye. 👋

I agree. I think that the OP was slanted to show Islam in a poor light.

While that may be true, the fact remains that Mohammad is not a prophet of God and therefore not the greatest. In saying that I make no apology, but I do apologise for the way I structure my words which may not be very diplomatic at times due to shortcoming in speech and writing.

I guess if the OP is guilty at all, it is the way he phrases his words. We are learning in that. The Muslims here are not doing too well either in this area. This is due to the difficulty in treading objective ground when we argue about something that’s quite in contrast.

Why do you say that? Muslims keep stating that Muhammad is the best of creation and a mercy to mankind, but I’ve yet to see them prove it! 😃 His life and deeds show differently. But every OP about Islam or Muhammad always ends up being a criticism of the Trinity, the Bible, or Christianity in general! 😛
