THEN THIS MUST TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT JESUS. HE DID THREE YEARS WHAT OTHERS COULD NOT DO IN A LIFE TIME.

AND I DON’T INCLUDE MOHAMMAD IN THE LIST. HE WAS A FALSE PROPHET WHO TAUGHT VIOLENCE IN ISLAM IN HIS TRADEMARK ENDLESS JIHAD.

Please quote to me. What did I accuse you of?

YOU MUST BE BLIND IF YOU ‘see the whole bible NT’ and do not see that Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. This is a lie caught red handed - characteristic of how people behave when following an evil religion. Do you know that Satan is the Father of all lies, the accuser of the brethrens?

The truth is one day you will come under the judgement of Jesus Christ as the Judge and King. You will answer to him for all the lies that you believe in Mohammad. And Mohammad too. Is that why you always pray for the poor soul of Mohammad?
Jesus is not the Judge of anybody and he is not a king, never a king. You have not quoted the bible in your reply and you are again saying jesus is a king. That has no meaning, no value.

What is the three years of preaching compared to some life time achievment or achievement in his life time. We don’t see anything. Please be reasonable and instead of accusing the prophet Muhammad, you try to present some proof from your book. If there is anything good in your bible then present it. Do not run after others to malign some one.

I thought that Islam, or at least some sects of it, taught that Jesus was to be the Judge during the Final Judgement.

In the Bible, Jesus is established as a king. In the Gosples, Pilot asks if he is the king of the Jews. He answers in Matthew, Mark, and Luke by saying “So you say” or “it is you who says it,” which means, it is as you have said. Pilot understood this as such, as he placed a sign above the cross that said “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.” In John, the dialog is longer, with Jesus saying that his Kingdom was not of this world, lest his subjects rise to defend him. There are other examples in the Old and New Testement to support Jesus as King of Kings. I am not even getting into Revelation, where there is more proof.

Question: Jesus’s Kingship was devised from his lineage and from God. He conquered no men nor did he wage any wars. Can Mohammid say the same?

When the Quran says Jesus is Messiah, it says Jesus is King of David, that’s what the Messiah means. If you argue with that, you are only arguing that Mohammed was too ignorant to know this.

Surely, we know all about that too. But I do not want to start a new debate here on that line. We can believe that jesus was indeed a prince from the line of david. But because the christians believe that he had a miraculous birth and he had no father, so I do not want to open that discussion. We know all about it more than any one else and our prophet Muhammad knew it all the more.

Being from the line of david, Jesus can only be a prince, at the most. he cannot be called a king. He also never had any kingdom in this world. He admitted it himself that his kingdom is not of this world. Very true.

Proof please that Muhammad knew more about Jesus than those who walked with him.

Actually, the Kingdom of God is now in this world as it is the Body of Christ, the Church. As far as his Kingdom not being of this world, he did not say that he HAD NO kingdom. The logic that because it is not of this world means that it does not exist is false, unless you deny that there is a God at all.

Please let us leave Muhammad alone for some time and discuss about jesus whether he was a king at all. He was not a king and did not claim to be a king even though he had a right to the throne of DAVID. so Jesus can be called a prince.

I am sorry to say something which might offend some of you i.e. you are not trying to see the things in the right perspective.
In the Gosples, Pilot asks if he is the king of the Jews. He answers in Matthew, Mark, and Luke by saying “So you say” or “it is you who says it,” which means, it is as you have said. Pilot understood this as such, as he placed a sign above the cross that said “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.”
Jesus was blamed by his enemies that he was claiming to be the king of the Jews. That was not true at all. In any of the gospels, we do not see even a word about it from Jesus himself. Did he ever tell any one that he was the king of Jews?? The answer is “No.”

That questioning by PILATE was at a time when Jesus was in real trouble. He was arrested and abused and accused and all of that sort of things. He was on trial with no one to help him. That accusation of being the king of Jews was all false and it was some kind of taunting remark against jesus.

The gospel also does not blame him for that clearly. Tell me honestly the words that you quoted above tell you clearly that Jesus was claiming to be the king of Jews?? I hope not.

It is Pilate askig Jesus, rather blaming him that he is the king of Jews. Jesus replied him “You say that.” That means " I do not say that. You are saying that." If Jesus was claiming to be the king of the Jews then he would have replied, “Yes, I AM THE KING OF THE JEWS.” But there is no such thing.

So why the christians cannot see the real meanings?? What use is there to make Jesus a king now after such a long time. If you say that he was claiming to be the king of the jews then you are in other words supporting the accusations of the Jews and the enemies of Jesus.

These matters are only for the christians to sort out. It is not our job to teach them. Jesus himself said that his kingdom was not of this world. That is very true and good enough for us. And the kingdom of this world is also a very useless bad thing not fit for the great person of Jesus. we Muslims look at it in that way. Please understand. Jesus has a greater status than a worldly king.

About Muhammad, you cannot understand unless you read some part of Quran for some time.

I have no issue with leaving Muhammid alone. Please explain why the man with the right to the throne is not the new King.
I am sorry to say something which might offend some of you i.e. you are not trying to see the things in the right perspective.
Personally, you have yet to offend me. I cannot speak for others. I would not discuss these things if i was easily offended.

Please read this website. It is not Catholic, but it sets it up well.

He was not denying it, either. He could have said that he was no king, that there is no king but ceasar, or any number of things. He did not seek to refute any of it. As he said, 'He who hears my voice, hears the Truth."

I am using an understanding of the idiom that is 2,000 years old. Please show me proof that your interpretation is correct.

Not exactly. Those who followed Christ thought he would create a typical earthly kingdom with an army and throw Rome off the map. He was creating a kingdom of God that has as its goal the salvation of all men. There was a failure to communicate based on the closed mindedness of many.
These matters are only for the christians to sort out. It is not our job to teach them. Jesus himself said that his kingdom was not of this world. That is very true and good enough for us. I do understand that from Islam. Again, just because his Kingdom is not of this world does not mean he is not a king
About Muhammad, you cannot understand unless you read some part of Quran for some time.

So if I study a Koran in English, will you then say that I cannot understand it unless it is in Arabic? If so, then I will never understand it, as I have neither the time nor inclination to learn a language that will serve no purpose in my life. Now, I am relearning Spanish and Italian, so if those will work, please let me know. 😃

Let’s take a little break for a minute and reflect. What has either side gained if anything? I have no idea.

As long as we are taking a break, I just wanted to let you know I like your signature line. Has a nice ring to it 🙂

Why?The thread is for Muslims to prove the greatness of Muhammad which so far, you have failed to do!

O.K. Then stop making Jesus a king. Leave the kingdom of Jesus alone and we will discuss the greatness or smallness of Muhammad. You cannot have it both ways.

Sorry. The topic had drifted to Jesus being a king. That is not true. So i had to discuss that also. Jesus never himself claimed to be a king. He even said that his kingdom is not of this world. The Jews accused him that he was claiming to be the king of the jews. keep all these points in mind and then try to discuss the greatness of Jesus over Muhammad please. Thanks.

Planten, please show me how having a kingdom that is not of this world means that he is not a king. He did not say that he had no kingdom at all.

If I may impose, is it the Muslim position that Muhammid was the greatest prophet or the last prophet?

Then you are saying David or God can’t give the throne to Jesus to elevate him from prince to king, which doesn’t really wash. Of course they can.

If you are going to say Jesus isn’t a king you really need to get into what the Quran means then when it says Jesus is Messiah, because Messiah has only ever meant the king and son of David.

You’re contradicting yourself! You’re saying that Jesus is not a king and then say that his kingdom is not of this world! What do you think he meant by that? His kingdom is in heaven!

Again, the thread is about Muhammad! Please tell us why you think he’s the greatest.

As long as you got Jesus as a god, there is no need to discuss anything with you. Muhammad cannot be greater than a god. That is for sure. So you win. I withdraw from this discussion. Thanks.

Your reply is another cop out! Can’t you even defend your prophet? Why do you refuse to tell us why Muhammad is the greatest??

Ralphinal , Please try to understand that being from the line of a king are called the princes. Unless they become a king themselves, they remain princes and they are not called kings. If a king has four sons, they will all be princes. If any of them later becomes a king, then only he will be called the king, not the other three. The other three will remain as princes.

In a similar way, even though Jesus hailed from king David a.s. he did not become a king here in this world as was david himself here in this world. For that reason we cannot call Jesus to be the king.

Jesus also did not claim the throne of david from the romans. The problem is that the Jews of the times had the hope of getting back the throne of david through their Messiah. They were not interested in their spiritual improvement. They were interested in politics and wordly gains. They were hoping that their Messiah will bring them back the throne of david.

The messiah (Jesus) would have got them the throne too if only they had listened to him and followed him. But they saw that the Messiah had come to them without any power, without any wordly charm. So they became disgusted or hopeless and denied him and opposed him too much.
That was the end of the throne of david a.s. and the kingship of Jesus a.s.

You’re obfuscating again. The OP is about why Muhammad is the greatest, so why don’t you tell us why you think he is?

We as Muslims also believe the same as it is in that signature, 100% true. Beautiful. i.e. Deut 6:4-5.

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-5)
