Why is purity associated with The Presentation?

The fourth joyful mystery of the Holy Rosary is The Presentation. The spiritual fruit associated with it is purity of body and mind.

I don’t fully understand why that is and I’m hoping if anyone could shed some light on how purity ties in with The Presentation.

The Presentation feast used to be called The Purification of Mary.
A Jewish woman who had borne a child would go to the temple to be purified of her uncleanness incurred in giving birth.
That’s the connection.

The feast was renamed at some point to focus more on Jesus.
