The pre-Henrician Saints, absolutely.Hi, I used to be Anglican (but in South Africa) before my eyes were opened, or is it before my ears were opened?
I really can’t remember if there is a day for St. Thomas More in the Anglican lectionary, although I think there may be. It is probably out of admiration for St. Thomas More as a highly principled Christian. As grampben says, Cranmer was the one who formed much of the Anglican Church (once Henry had permission to marry Anne Boleyn he had little interest in forming or reforming the church he had created).
Also, to the best of my knowledge, the saints of the Catholic Church are recognised by Anglicans (certainly the laity).
