Why is the Church against Astrology?

If the 3 Kings used it to find Christ saying, this Star means there is a new King born. Then why do we not think that we can use the stars to tell use other things like our personalities? Or other big events that might happen in the future or that has already happened?
I hope this question comes off right as it sounds in my head. LOL!
