Why is the church so confusing?

The Ugandan martyrs (Charles Lwanga and companions) included Anglicans.
The Anglicans were not included among the companions of Charles Lwanga in the canonization, although in his homily Pope Paul acknowledged their sacrifice.

Why should it be? Why should understanding God, a being of such immense presence and power, be simple?
Hey, what can I say? If you’re sure that understanding God is pretty darn complicated, then by all means go read a thousand theological books, get a PhD, or do whatever you believe you must do to deal with the complexity. Me, I take a different approach, one that is simple – though not easy. And I’ve noticed that many others intuitively prefer a simple approach also.

P.S. After posting I decided I’ll address this more substantially, even though your earlier slander of another religion’s prophet is offensive. The truth is that while God in His Majesty is indeed complex beyond human comprehension, God as He reveals Himself through His Living Presence here and now, is the simplest thing ever, once He is seen. And how else could it be? God does not favor PhD’s. God favors the meek and humble. See Matthew 5:5 for example.
