Oh… I am so looking forward to seeing Hisalone’s response to 1Timothy 2…

Christ didnt find it to be a requirement.
Can you tell me why you think you can improve on Christ?
Why do you think it’s an issue? Do you think this discipline is contrary to anything that Jesus taught? Is Jesus’ not requiring celebacy the same thing as forbidding it? If not, why do you have a problem with it?

He chose men. Yet some Xian denominations ordain women. Is that, iyo, an acceptable change?

It is pretty clear to me that His Alone is a young person who is new to apologetics and waaaaaay overconfident on his/her arguments that i am sure they picked up recently in some track, pamphlet or book, on Catholicism being wrong.😉

Can you answer my questions or are you only able to throw stones?

1Tim2 does not preclude a shared ministry.
The proof is on you to demonstrate it does.
Ok you got if she knows sign language - maybe

11 Let the woman learn in silence, with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to use authority over the man: but to be in silence

You tell me - You took Peter’s Chair

How strongly is it “encouraged” now?

How is that different from the past?

But you do require it.

Except in rare cases.
No it’s called a Vocation - The Pope is not ordering people to become Priests

Priests, Prophets and Kings
According to Lumen Gentium, the Church, in its twofold ministry toward its own members and toward those outside, shares in Jesus’ threefold office of Priest, Prophet and King, that is, it participates in Jesus’ ministry to sanctify, to teach and to govern (see 10-13). While bishops, priests and deacons exercise, within the Church, the ministries of sanctifying, teaching and governing through the power and authority bestowed upon them at their sacramental ordination, all Catholic lay men and women also share in this threefold ministry of Christ. Catholic lay men and women, by their baptismal and confirmational character, are empowered, in Christ through the Holy Spirit, to be priests, prophets and kings and so come to share in the Church’s ministry of sanctification, teaching and governing

BISHOP LAURENCE RYAN - As a theologian and bishop he was tireless in encouraging lay people to fully participate in the life of the church and to exercise in full their baptismal vocation as priest prophet and king

Christ didnt require it, Christ didnt forbid it.
Christ did chose those that werent, why do you fail to follow his example?
I honestly don’t remember Jesus mentioning the apostles’ sex lives. It seems to me that it wasn’t a big deal to him. Why is it such a big deal to you?

Your question has been answered, but you won’t accept the answer.

Tell us what answer you wanted.

OBIEDIENCE:highprayer:

Hebrews 13 17 Obey your prelates, and be subject to them. For they watch as being to render an account of your souls; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief. For this is not expedient for you.

Acts Of Apostles 20 28 Take heed to yourselves, and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Ephesians 6 5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your lords according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the simplicity of your heart, as to Christ:

The Trullan Synod (692 A.D.), also known as the Quinisext, determined that bishops should not be married, but marriage was permitted for deacons and priests before ordination. No marriage was allowed after ordination. A priest or a deacon could not renounce his wife on the pretense of piety, but sexual relations were prohibited prior to celebrating the liturgy, which usually meant the Sunday observance
