I’ve been reading the deuterocanonicals and working my way through the book of Wisdom. Can I get an explanation of why Wisdom is referred to in the female tense as a she?

Wisdom is “received”; therefore, receptors of grace and knowledge (e.g., the Church) are imaged as feminine.
