In the russian and ethiopian orthodox church, The extra books of Esdras are in their bibles. I did find it in the NRSV Bible. What is wrong with the books? Why isn’t it in every catholic bible?
My knowledge is limited on this subject.
I believe the Ethiopian Bible is the only bible that has both books in it’s canon.
I recall reading that the Vatican has a copy of the Volgate with these books in the appendix. 2Edras ir reported to be missing one page.
I know this is not much of an answer but maybe the missing page is a clue.
Or maybe the answer is in the “money pit”.
