Why Jehovah Witness Never Came Back to My House ???

Ok so about 2 or 3 Months back 2 Ladies from Jehovah Witness knocked on my Door & I Answered thinking it was the Postmail mailing Packages …LOL

anyway Once I saw who they I nicely Told them I couldn’t allow them in my Home but they were more then welcome to Read A Chapter of the Bible to me , They simply read about God’s Paradise & would I love to live in God’s Paradise & I was like Yes I Would & the lady Handed me A WatchTower Publication Booklet & Told me she’ll be back later that Day .

Mind you I’m Converting to Catholic -Catholicism & I didn’t want to be nasty Or Rude & for some reason I was like I Believe God would Allow them to Read Even though I don’t Believe in what The Jehovah Witness Teaches & Oddly the day they came I was Sad & depressed due to some life changes , But for some reason I felt as if God was Standing right Behind me as I open the Door & I’ve Never Saw the 2 ladies again like they came to me for some reason & have never came back I don’t know rather if it was The Holy Spirit of God Our Jesus But I do Believe God Our Lord Jesus Knows my Heart & Knows That The Catholic Church is For me & that’s why those ladies have never came back to talk to me , Or my Spirit was so Full of Jesus that those Ladies probably could see it & ran like hell since JW’s don’t Believe God Is God but God the Archangel Michael & Don’t Believe in the Trinity I Believe my body & Soul on that day was of the True Child of God & they ran away from me & from the truth .
 
The Lord can use unexpected means to encourage us sometimes. You are privileged to understand that event in the way you do. May God continue to lead and bless you as you become a member of His Church
 
Lol, I found myself in a very similar situation. I’m going thru RCIA myself. Two JWs came to my house during a yard sale event in my neighborhood and they wouldn’t leave my parents alone. So my mom said, “Hold on, you have to meet my son.” Next thing you know, the JW is the one saying, “Ok! Ok! I gotta go! I gotta go!” 😛
Lol, it’s a VERY good thing you didn’t invite them into your house. They came over again for a Bible throw-down and I think that was a mistake. Even though I pretty much won (which no one ACTUALLY “wins” these things,) I could tell I didn’t get thru to them in the least, and they kept making bigoted remarks about my religion as well. As luck would have it, some LDS missionaries came down to my house a month later. 😛
We had an amazing discussion and we both got to share our religion, it was pretty fun. I think we were both surprised to see how similar they are in some aspects (though not theologically, of course.) After they left I said, “Well they’re a lot more charitable then the JWs.” Then my brother said, “Yeah, atleast they don’t call you a Nazi terrorist and call your Christmas tree pagan.” Which is true, I was VERY offended by their visit (though I didn’t say anything.)
JWs basically think Catholic priests annoint “holy soldiers” and tell them what they’re doing is in the name of God before they “march off, slaughter and kill countless people.” 🤷 I’m offended by every single pamphlet I get from them as well, it’s a constant attack on our religion. In their “Awake” magazine, “Is Religion a Force of Peace?” they have a picture of a Catholic priest with a gun in one hand and a Bible in another. In another pamphlet, they have an article that reads “A CATHOLIC church in England charges $100 extra if someone runs late for a wedding” with a picture of a priest grinning and thinking about a pile of money. :rolleyes:

I think the reason Jehovah’s Witnesses never came back to my house is because I used to have a very large, very fierce-looking jet black German Shepherd dog. She (the dog) was a real sweetheart, but looked like Cujo. She was standing behind me when I opened the door, and barking loudly. The JWs backed carefully away down the steps and the driveway.

The dog died many years ago, but for whatever reason, apparently her legend lives on. I’ve seen JWs canvassing the neighborhood, but they never stop at my house. Which is just as well.

See I’m suppose to had met with the People at A Near By Catholic Church For RCIA Classes But Have yet to do so I have to Find A Ride Up to the Church & to Attend Meetings & stuff To Convert to Catholicism & The Catholic Church .

As for the Jehovah Witness Yes I heard that they make fun of Catholics , My thing is Their not even A Real Religion they’re more run like a Cult then anything & they don’t even call them selves A Religion but instead a Organization Which is Basically saying they’re A Cult organization so they can make fun of The Catholic Church & Catholics but at least we are noticed & mainstreamed as A Real Religion & Our Teachings aren’t Wild & crazy & Are changed by man head of A organization that’s run like A cult so I really don’t get Mad at their Propaganda & Publications Cause basically The True Church & Only Church the is Of Christ & Our Jesus Is the Catholic Church Founded By Our Lord Jesus .
 
I think that why they don’t come back to my house is that when they start their stuff at the door I sprinkle Holy Water on them from the Holy Water font I have at my front door. 😃

HaHaHaaaaa that could be it throw some Holy water on them …LOL I just Pray they all find their way out of that Cult & get into A actual Bible Religion Base Church .

I spent 11 years as JW, leaving as Presiding Elder of my local congregation.
I believe that arguing with them really is a waste of time, but may I suggest some rough guidelines.
First: they claim to believe the bible. They believe that they believe the bible. They do not. They believe what the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania tells them to believe (supported by odd out-of-context biblical texts).
So, I suggest asking them why they do not believe:
John 6:53* Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59 He said this while teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.*
Say, I believe this totally.
The disciples had trouble with it – so it is not intended symbolically :
  • 60 On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”*
    If JWs believe all of the bible – why reject this?
    Also I am a member of the church which Jesus vouchsafed to Peter. No, I know they don’t believe this - but on the other hand they say that the bible is all important – BUT:
    1 Timothy 3:15
    If I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.
    THE CHURCH – not the bible – is pillar and foundation of the truth. All other churches are breakaways from the One True Church established by God.
    Also remember that they (nor anyone else) will be convinced (converted) until the Holy Spirit moves them. But we do have a responsibility in this:
    1 Peter 3:15
    But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
    I believe that all Catholics should have a good knowledge of their faith and why they believe as they do, and also a lively prayer life.
    Most converts have HAD to study the faith deeply – my experience suggests that few Catholics bother.
    There are many good books (and a few good websites) which carry excellent teaching on the fundamentals of the Catholic Faith - do avail yourselves of these resources.
    PLEASE pray for them.
    I feel about them much as Paul felt about Israel:
    Romans 10:1-5
  • 1 Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. 2 For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. 3 Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. 4 Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
    5 Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.”*
    And pray for me as I continue to walk in the faith given once and for all to the saints

😃 Please refrain from doing that… if you run across a really devout JW - sprinkling holy water on them will cause them to dissolve as they cry out “I’m melting, I’m melting!”

Probably the most resonable answer is that they didn’t get the feeling you were really into it, so they weren’t going to bother with you. It’s not like those people aren’t used to rejection or anything.

I do like the holy sprinkle idea, almost as good as answering the door naked with a bottle of wine inviting them to your bacchanalian ritual.

If I was really good at debating, I’d love to talk to them for awhile, but since I’m not, I just don’t bother to open the door to them. Anyway, I think it’s a rare person who can talk any sense into them.

LOL. My grandmother met them at the door with a broom in one hand and the holy water in the other. The neighbourhood had a telephone grapevine and phoned each other when the JWs were on the move, so all the Catholics were ready for them.
 
I have found many of these answers very amusing and I do understand folks’ frustration with these people - but do please remember that they are souls needing Jesus.
Whatever else you may do - pray for them!
