Well, if you have never heard Jesus talk to you, I couldn’t expect you to believe me. When someone who has a closed mind to the idea that Jesus does talk to his people, it takes a lot of convincing, so I’m sure my witness won’t be accepted. Again it is your loss not mine.This is what happens when you let all the “isms” creep into your head–subjectivism, relativism, post-modernism, etc. You think we can’t know anything by using reason, so you listen to the “voices” in your head.
#1, you have to understand that it’s not humility that makes you deny reason and truth.
#2, you have to dig deep to find the courage to embrace objective truth OUTSIDE OF YOURSELF.
What you and the modern world have in common, Giver, is that you both think you’re the barometer of truth–that it all comes from inside.
Who knows, maybe you’ve convinced yourself that you actually hear the voice of Christ (telling you heresy). If so, you’ve got bigger problems than anything that’s going to be solved on an anonymous message board.
