Why not eternal Heaven?

Hello everyone.

I have recently been bugged by this question-not that I am losing faith, but rather that I do not have a satisfactory answer- and would like any (name removed by moderator)ut possible.

I know that this may exceed my capacity for knowledge and only GOD knows, but any human (name removed by moderator)ut helps.

So essentially, it takes into account the premise of GOD giving man freewill and this giving man the opportunity to choose or reject GOD in this life and then reap the consequences of his decision in the next.

If we will be perfect in Heaven and have no propensity or even chance to sin, A) why were angels only given their eternal life to choose (so why were they born in heaven and any time they sin they instantly go to hell, while humans have their whole life to decide? Why are they kept in heaven until they reject it while humans are given time to decide beforehand?) and B) why did GOD not make humanity perfect in heaven if He is able to eventually perfect us and take away all temptations and opportunities for sin? Why give us this trial phase to see if we love him if we will eventually keep our free will but no matter what be in perfect harmony with Him? Is He testing to see if our love is genuine? But aren’t there Catholic Christians who don’t love GOD as much (not at all but simply not as much) as some other religions with faithful who might have never heard of Jesus?

Thanks for reading if you did!
GOD bless you!

I originally wrote a response to A.), but I don’t feel comfortable enough with my knowledge to give a definitive answer, so I’ll allow someone else to do that.

B.) This is a lot easier to answer. If we were truly perfect in Heaven, we’d have no free will. If your life was free from any sort of temptation, you would not have the opportunity to not choose God. God desires us to love Him, but since He is all fair, he understands we must love him back. Sure - all parents wish their children will reciprocate the love they share with them, but they cannot force it upon them. Its not so much a test as it is a choice, an opportunity.

The angels were not created in heaven. No being in heaven will lose the celestial beatitude because being informed by absolute good is to become completely conformed to it. The time allowed to prove one’s charity is before death of the body.

Natural to rational beings is self determination. Therefore a choice to not be what God intended is unvoidable. God reveals Himself and the choice is naturally made. Angel or human.

If you threw a party, and 80% of the people there HAD to come for one reason or another, and 20% because they wanted to be in your company, who would you appreciate more?
Outside of man, all creation must “love” its creator. Even angels created in heaven have no doubt about their existence. They do however, have free will, though that will is compromised by a pre-existing knowledge. Mankind is the only creation of God that has the ability to choose, not to be compelled, to “love” Him. Those who choose God and His law, are treasured by the Creator and invited into His company. The rest, are on their own.

Angles were also given free will. They were tested and given their reward. We don’t know a lot about all that. Angles are superior creatures. I believe their test was when God let them know that mere humans were to be raised above them as we are to be called sons of God. About 1/3 of the angles rebelled and were given their reward. That is why the bad angles hate us so much and want to drag us down to hell.

hey thanks for responding,

so does your answer to B mean that in heaven we will still have temptations to sin and we will not be truly perfect or that we will not have free will?

Thanks to all who have replied: this now makes sense.
GOD bless you all!

Also the Book of Genesis reveals the same thing Jesus revealed to Saint Faustina, that the lukewarm souls caused Jesus the most suffering on the Cross.

The Book of Genesis mentions lukewarm angels, who did not choose God or Lucifer in the battle in Heaven where Satan tried to rage war against God,

The evil angels were cast to Hell.

The lazy uncaring lukewarm angels who refused to fight for God, and refused to fight for Satan, these were cast to Earth, as fallen angels/ demons, but who will be cast to Hell on the final day. The book of Genesis calls these evil angels ‘The Nephilim.’ And says it was these evil angels that perverted mankind so much, that God had to send the flood.

Please keep in mind that we were already created perfect. God created Adam and Eve perfect and without sin, and they freely chose to disobey His command, thus incurring the consequences of original sin both in this life and the life to come. This is not a ‘trial phase to see if we love him’. This life that has been blighted by the disobedience of our first parents is the just punishment for our transgression. Christ’s suffering and death restored us to a right relation with God, and baptism washes away the stain of original sin, but not our concupiscence. The consequence of the fallen angels’ sin(their condemnation to Hell) was immediate because they are outside of time, and thus any decision they make is irrevocable because there is no past for them to repent of, nor any future giving them the chance to repent: they dwell in an eternal Now. Humans, on the other hand, are inside the stream of time; consequently, we are able to look at our past sins and repent of them either now or in the future.

The Old Testament says in Genesis, that evil women permitted themselves to be possessed by the Nephilim angels, (the evil lazy lukewarm angels who refused to fight for God or satan), and gave themselves over to the occult. That through black magic they could do odious things like walking up trees/ walls. These evil women seduced the men of the time and the offspring were very very tall human beings, taller than usual.
Archaeology has proven this also as it has found that there were races of giant human beings that became extinct.
