Without the Catholic Church, you would have no relationship with Jesus; you wouldn’t even know Him. Without the Catholic Church there would have been nothing for the Protestant reformers to break away from–and certainly no New Testament for them on which to base their belief in ‘sola scriptura.’
The Church was Jesus’ idea. Through it, He has ministered to multitudes of people through the ages. It is only through His Church that He can be present to us in the sacraments, especially, the Eucharist in which Jesus actually dwells within our very bodies.
