My statement said nothing about the different forms of the Mass, so I I do not understand what you are speaking about. I was responding to the claim posted immediately above mine that stated that the Mass does not keep Protestants out of the Church, but doctrinal issues do. I was pointing out that the Mass IS a doctrinal issue.Not the specific form, no. Otherwise, Paul VI couldn’t have changed it, and the different Sui Juris Churches couldn’t have different Liturgies and be in Communion.
There are doctrines about what happens in the Mass (Transubstantiation), but not about the particular form.
