Fr. John A Hardon S.J.: the Modern media is engaged in a Luciferian conspiracy against the truth.

I don’t trust the media all that much besides one local channel. I prefer to get my news from the ‘alternative’ (I hate that phrase) media, specifically those who are more right leaning or left leaning than the mainstream.

For the record, I did put my mask on and join a large peaceful march. In doing so I assumed some risk of getting sick in return for the benefit of doing something I felt called to do.
I’m glad you wore a mask! I pray that you, and those you marched with, remain healthy and unaffected by coronavirus or any other illness.

A regular little job is so…boomer
Ah, so THAT’s why I keep doing my “regular little job.”

I got up at 4:30 this morning to be at work by 5:30 a.m., and I’ll probably be there for 10 hours. And I’m 63.

I’m the Boomer of Boomers!

In another thread, I brought up thoughts like, “How do these protesters have the TIME to keep driving into their cities and joining the marches and some of them sticking around for the riots after dark? Don’t they work? What do they do for a living that they are able to get so much time off?! They must all be wealthy.”

I still wonder about this.

By the time I get home from work, I’ll be so tired that I would happily settle down on the sofa and eat take out food. But I can’t even do that–every other evening I fix a homemade supper, take it to my invalid parents-in-law, and sit down and eat with them. And then I go home and clean up the mess that is made by home-cooking instead of take-out or nuking a frozen entree.

And in regular times (no COVID-19), I play piano/organ at several churches and also for several secular groups, and so I have to get my music together and practice. That’s one good thing (???) about the Shelter-In-Place–all my musical activities are cancelled, which eliminated yet another task (which I love, but it does tire me out).

Anyway, I have to go get ready for work now.
