Why pray to saints and angels?

We know that Mary is the greatest intercessor so why pray to the angels and the saints why not just to Mary all the time?
 
Because we have a communion of saints. This is a big family, not just Jesus and his mom. They’re all looking out for us.
 
Because we are a family. If someone in your family is sick, you want your Priest and Bishop to be praying for them just as much as you want your entire family, protestant neighbours, friends and parishioners at your Church praying for them.
 
Why ask people here on earth for prayers ?

Isn’t it better to ask Saints in Heaven before God Almighty, for prayers ?

There are several reasons. For one, God has set certain saints in charge of certain matters: “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.” Matthew 25:23. We should go to those saints (patron saints) for those issues because doing so honors God, who put them in charge of those things.

But also, when two people pray for the same thing, God sometimes won’t listen to one person’s prayer but will listen to and answer the other person’s prayer. He did this with Eliphaz: “My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has. … my servant Job shall pray for you, [and] I will accept his prayer not to deal with you according to your folly; for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.” Job 42:7-8. He chose to only grant that prayer through the intercession of Job. It is quite possible that there are other prayers He won’t grant except through the intercession of some other saint. Why would God do this? Well, in Job’s case it was partly as a reward for speaking rightly about God. He might reward other saints for their fidelity by only granting your prayer if that saint also prays for it – so don’t forget to ask!
