Since Mary is the most powerful intercessor, why should we pray to any other saint?

We don’t have to pray to Saints or even asking for Mary but as someone posted, why shouldn’t we?
Mary is full of Graces, i personally cannot do without her. I know she is a bridge to her Son and i love saying the rosary.
I do ask for the Intervention to Saints at time especially when i feel very inspired by them.
I had an injury that i had for a few years and struggling with pain. I made a Novena to Saint Joseph and God granted my prayer through his intercession.
Saints pray for us too, and i am guessing they love to continue to participate in God’s redemption for us.
I mainly pray the Saints so i can love God as they did and do His Will as they did.
Reading about the life of Saints, have helped to know God better and to know what i am expected from Him.

First of all, praying to Saints is not only to get something, but to share your problems with someone who experienced similar ones in his(her) life.
Secondly, sharing my own experience: sometimes it is hard to imagine for us why the Queen of Heaven Herself would be interested in paying heed to such a humble petition of ours. For example, an athlete prays for endurance and success in the competition. Why would Our Lady be interested in such a thing? In fact, of course, She is interested in all our needs; however, this is hard to imagine for us. And the prayer is primarily not to receive what we need, but to dispose ourselves in such a way that our activities would be acceptable to God. Thus, it is logical for an athlete to pray to St. Sebastian, who showed incredible endurance in his life, so that he could share this endurance with us and make our exercise acceptable to God. In fact, Our Lady would also be involved in such an intercession, but in a less direct way, so to say.

I agree; the saints provide us a special link to whatever it is we’re asking. Mary too has those links, but she never had personal experience with car accidents, you know? The human part of us knows that some saints “relate” to certain things better than others (at least in our minds), so we turn to them for their intercessions. However, all saints are helpful in all scenarios.

Wasn’t the gospel yesterday about how God wants you to bother him as much as possible for the things you want? Think of praying to the saints as extra people you have “bothering” God on behalf of your intentions

Ah it makes more sense about finding a common bond through going through something similar. Also, I do find it odd to pray about temporal matters that ultimately don’t matter at the end, instead of praying for virtue – maybe I can sneak in a prayer for those less important matters to those who have experience in those things while they were on earth.
