Why read? Why respond?

The internet is big place (as we all know). I know I’ll never have time to read everything that’s posted, and sometimes when I do read something, I realize afterwards that could have spent that time better.

Sometimes, in fact, I’ll read a post that causes me to decide that I do not wish to read anything else that blogger or poster has written. As, for example, with this post:

He is a child of Satan’s I will pray for his eternal damnation

But I couldn’t help noticing (both on this particular occasion and on many others) that a lot of people take exactly the opposite approach: That is to say, the same posts which make me say to myself “I won’t read this blogger/poster any more”, actually cause said blogger/poster to instantly become “popular”.

I really have to ask, Why? Why take the time to read his/her posts and tell him/her that he/she is wrong, rather than simply ignoring him/her?

**I have responded to posts like this but only to ask that it stop. I guess sometimes that too is seen as an invitation to keep going. But it does make me look at my own posts more closely. I hope this thread will make us all be more charitable. **

I understand what you mean. Boy do I understand what you mean. There are people on here that should be ignored. I respond out of frustration but I know in my head that you are right.

Internet forums are loved - very much loved by search engines. Many of today’s top search engine bots crawl forums and pick out keywords that makes it easier for the reader to search for opinions. The opinions of message board members gives the reader a chance to understand from their perspectives and form a ‘general’ opinion of topics.

This can lead to alot of problems especially if the reader-researcher disregards historical accuracy/authenticity and accepts the sometimes inevitable biasness and judgemental opinions of a poster. All it takes is someone with a good comprehension of the English language, use it to his/her means and write a notorious amount of jargon which only a lawyer could understand. Some authors have been known to stealth message boards to snoop in on heated debates of certain topics. If you think book authors never plagiarize, think again. Now you see why you have to read and respond? Want another Jack Chick site to pop up? How about Jihadwatch? Rebuke them or forever hold your peace and live with even more biased views.

Sometimes, in fact, I’ll read a post that causes me to decide that I do not wish to read anything else that blogger or poster has written. As, for example, with this post:

**Yea, I know what you mean! But you have to realize that as Saint Augustine said: If you believe what you like in the gospels, and reject what you don’t like, it is not the gospel you believe, but yourself.” When someone quotes Catholic dogma and you disagree with it, who is wrong?

Some people ignore the parts of our faith they don’t agree with! Someone speaksup and let people know the truth! You desire to ignore the truth. How precious!

We all could block people we disagreed with, but I think that with that attitude everyone would become real lonely for companionship and somethiong to discuss!

Many people just say things because they think it is the right thing to say. They are ignorant and need to be told the truth! Jesus said “…you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32. They don’t understand God or their faith. They believe that there is only good in the world. They forget that God has children and satan takes people and buys their souls. They foolishly pray for people who should be condemned!

**That is as the Bible says it should be! There are children of God who deserve our prayers. There are Children of Satan who deserve to be condemned. Abortionist deserve death! amd eternal damnation.

“Will ye pollute Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save souls alive that should not live…?” Ezekiel 13:19

Nature and the God of nature have seen to it that a great curse lies upon nations where injustice is practiced, and nations that do justice are blessed with peace. The Bible says that the killing of the innocent brings a curse upon the land and its people.**** The curse of innocent blood can only be removed by shedding the blood of the shedder of innocent blood! It’s an indictment on the church that one can quote a Scripture and most professing Christians will accuse that one of being unloving and un-Christian.

Exodus 21: 12 -25 He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death… If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her (premature labor), and yet no mischief follow (the baby and mother are okay): he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow (baby or mother are injured or killed), then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

Remember PeterJ, as I said before "If you believe what you like in the gospels, and reject what you don’t like, it is not the gospel you believe, but yourself.” Saint Augustine and you, my friend, aren’t God!

Even the Qur’an teach the value of innocent life in these words:
“Whosoever kills a human being for other than manslaughter or mischief in the land, it shall be as if he has killed all humankind,
and whosoever saves the life of one, it shall be as if he has saved the life of all humankind”. (hapter 5, Verse 32)

**Maybe because people thirst for the truth? They get tired of the pollyanna attitude that is not only incorrect but also isn’t scriptural based. They desire the truth, no matter what others may think. As I said, Heavens forbid, maybe they agree? **

So everyone that you disagree with you ignore, how cute No wonder you don’t post much! Being your own little judge and hury is hard isn’t it? The only real answer to your questions is “Why not?” It it makes you think, it might be a good thing. According to God’s law, baby-killers (abortionists) should die, and if they aren’t executed then our nation will suffer! If these murderers aren’t condemned by doers of justice, then the curse of innocent blood rests upon us. We pray to God I think a prayer for Justicefor the murdered babies would be pleasing to God. My God at least, I am not sure what you thinl your God thinks. I also wonder about the color of the sky in your world! Mine is blue!**
