Why should I get an alb?

No no no. C’mon let’s not over think it. Albs can be grey colored.

We have grey albs at my parish. I don’t know why but we just do.
 
Well I go to a pretty modern church so that might explain why

Considering the fact that “alba” means “white” in Latin, I think a “grey alb” would be an oxymoron.

Grey albs are certainly not traditional.
I’d certainly agree that an “alb” that isn’t white just seemed wrong, but then again I ran across this black “alb” from Slabbinck.

Personally I would say that is an alb style black robe or maybe it is an exceedingly plain orthodox alter server’s sticharion (?) as I think they can be the color of the day.

This is truly an absurd thread.

The white baptismal garment was always put aside after the Easter Octave.

The only people wearing albs on the street are cult members.
