Well as most have pointed out here,
The historical proof is pretty big. Let’s say you have a little bit of trouble believing in the ressurection of Christ.
Thats ok, not everybody comes to the truth by being a historian. You can see the things Christ left behind like : 1. Fufilling of most Old testament prophecies
2. He left a visible Church, that for 2000 years hasn’t in the slightest fallen apart. (People have of course gotten mad at certain stuff and cut off themselves, but the Church didnt cause that split , the individuals did)
I think the philosophy of Thomas Aquinas also helps. From his philosophy on God’s attributes in the case that he is right, and in my view, his philosophy is pretty sound, all of theese attributes somehow conveniently fit the Christian doctorine, aspecially the Catholic one as the Catholic one has a bonus of historicity as stated above.
Then there are miracles. Usually people will say : “Well every religion has miracles to some extent” I would say yes. But once again, what I see in christianity is a religion that has had frequent revalation, in the past public and now more private revalation. So miracles attest to that aswell.
Then I would see what is different in the Christian from all the other religions. There are a lot of prophets in religions, but Jesus was either the greatest lier in history, or the one true God. Because while other prophets said they had revalation from God, or divine insight, Jesus claims to be God and proves it with his ressurection.
In the end I think I would say this all adds up to my main point : Extreme consistency.
The Bible has withstood the test of time, as has the Church (pulling away infallible teachings that have yet to be proven contrary etc.) , the fact how so far the moral teachings (while heavily generalized) of the 10 commandmants nail the morality we somehow feel the ought to have.
Also sometimes people ask why does prayer not seem to work. Its pretty much a big supposition in todays time to think that God is some type of sugar daddy. He isn’t. Prayer isn’t meant to give off neither a feeling nor a result. It most likely will, but if it doesn’t do that it doesn’t disprove anything. Maybe makes it less beliveable, but I don’t tend to judge the belivability of a statement based from one singular person.
If everything we know about the Bible is truly forged, it doesn’t explain away the sudden rise in Christianity and no way of disproving it at that time, or how the approved gospel writers (not the ones that were acting to be ones) menaged to get a lot of later to be learnt philosophical truths right.
I don’t know, this is just my opinion, if I am getting something wrong please notify me.
