Why so many Altar Boys

I am in charge of the altar boys at the diocesan TLM in my city, The cross bearer sits on the side during Mass. At our Mass, several who sit on the side are in training. Plus, Palm Sunday, and during the Christmas and Easter seasons I like to have as many of them in the sanctuary as possible. Also one Sunday in August, because it is the annual Mass i request for our altar boys.
