Why so many contradictions in the quran?

Provided the list does not contain any contradiction itself. Also provided the samething is not found in bible. Specially such things as Three gods and still one God. Three in one and One in three etc.

The Quran should not be seen with the views of the present bible which is not revealed book. They say it is only inspired book written by some specialists etc. That is not word of god at all. It is words of some persons.

The activity of bible was limited to about three years only and the result was a complete disarray and living inhide outs for about 300 years. The Quran was revealed over a period of 23 years. It is a book describing and directing a struggle against the infidels and culminating in a success in the end in a very short time.

Instead of looking for contradictions in the Quran, it would be better to find something bad word in the Quran about jesus or his mother, or anything bad about any prophet of God. That will be better.

**Why should I believe that the “greatest prophet in the world” was a man who married a child around 6 or 7 years of age, and slept with the poor girl not long after?

Seriously, why should I believe him? If he wasnt aware of the universal belief that children should not be abused, how can I trust that God spoke to him? Please tell me, do you really think God approved of this behaviour?

Anyway, I don’t want to tell you what to believe. If you are a devout Muslim that is up to you. I just want to make clear the Catholic doctrine of God. We believe there is one God. This one God, is made up of three Persons. Each of these Persons are distinct from each other, however they all fully possess the nature of God.

The Father is the unbegotten Person, the Son is begotten of the Father, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son. However, you need to try to remember that their is no “beforeness” or “afterness” in God because He exists outside of time in all eternity. That is why Catholics believe the Son and Holy Spirit were not created from the Father, but were in a way generated from all eternity. They all exist together at once.

Also, its important to note that we do not say the Son was begotten or the Holy Spirit proceeded. But instead, the Son is begotten and the Holy Spirit proceeds. What this means, I think, is that while the existence of the Triune God has no end, nor does the way they exist ever cease. i.e. Son is eternally begotten of the Father; the Holy Spirit eternally proceeds from Father and Son.

Therefore, there is one God. His nature God. But who God is, is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There are three Persons in one God. Not three Gods in one God.

If you are a Bible person, then you have to take a paradigm shift when looking at the Quran.

The so called contradictions are simply superseded by the later verses. The problem is of course the Quranic verses are not arranged in any particular chronological order. So it quite difficult to know which verses supersedes which ones, and which are the later verses. For that I think Muslims have to depend on the Hadith, perhaps rough equivalent to our Acts and the epistles.

Then again there are Muslims who don’t believe in the Hadith at all, an equivalent to the Sola Sciptura Christians. And there are thousands of Hadiths. True, they have the science of Hadith, the Isnat, to determine which Hadith is genuine or not. However, this can lead to various claims to authentate their own Hadiths. So yes, there can be difficulties in taking the Quran as reliable book if one has fixed his mind on the Bible.

And there is the thing about abrogation. You just simply abrogated those verses that do not confirm to the other theme of the Quran.

Muslims will tell you there is no contradiction in the Quran. And the way the Quran operates, I think I believe them.
