Why sola Scriptura?

Some might. Some might also say that it was stupid of me to be as vulnerable as I was on a forum full of argumentative people such as yourself.
You certainly have my understanding - the the field of theology, I’m an idiot. But in my chosen profession I’ve had analogous experiences as yours. Frankly, I didn’t come out stronger for time spent in the crucible - but instead, it made me realize that everything under the sun is vanity.

Even though to tend to argue with me, I’m certainly glad you’re here and are willing to share your rather fascinating mind.

I argue with everyone. I really appreciate your perspective, and I’m really glad there are folks like you (highly Catholic-minded, conservative but generous and gentle, confessional Lutherans) out there.

Perhaps,but I would never say scripture as whole does not point to the “surety of His salvation” for it does. That you can throw it away, if you really had it, is another question.
Ah. Then we are in agreement.
