Why the change in the proclomation of faith?

At mass today when the consecration of the hosts was going on, instead of the ussal “Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again.” it was something like (bad on remebering short new things heard only once) “…Christ died for the forgiveness of sins” (I think) why the change? Is it perment or are we going bay to the old one?

“Christ has died, …” is only one of four options for the memorial acclamation. It sounds like your parish just used one of the other three. Maybe “Dying you destroyed our death; rising you restored our life. Lord, Jesus, come in glory”. ??

The "Christ has died … " option ONLY exists in the English translation of the Mass. There is no corresponding acclamation in the Latin (official) or in any of the other translations I have seen. The draft of the new English translation (currently under review) reportedly has dropped that option since it was added rather than translated. If your parish has only been using the “Christ has died…” option, maybe they are trying to ease the congregation out of it. Most parishes I have attended mix it up and/or rotate the four.

Currently, we are using the second one at the parish I go to.
