Why the new doxology in the Liturgy of the Hours?

Greetings!
I was wondering why the Doxology in my Liturgy is different from the Glory Be prayer:
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, etc. Is it okay if I say the regulary Glory Be?

Hi,

It is alright to use the old one. But the new one (for ages unending) is a better translation of the Latin.

“Secula seculorum” means literally, ages of ages. In our current way of speaking, we don’t express this as “world without end.”
