If you got paid, $70,000 a year and paid 25% of income taxes, you’d pay around $17,500 (approximate value). They pay taxes through sales tax, flat taxes that they owe to their state, social security and medicare taxes, gas taxes, and so on and so forth. When it is said that the bottom 47% don’t pay taxes they mean income taxes, and if the bottom 47% of our country isn’t making enough money to pay income tax that is pretty said considering that means they are making less than minimum wage.The rich pay more then fair share, the bottom 47% pay no taxes and milk the system.

The bottom 50% does pay taxes, and while many of them use food stamps and such, many of them do not use food stamps. There is no reason to act like they don’t.
Anyway the topic isn’t about Obama, it is about the Occupy movement which is certainly not a fan of Obamanomics in the first place considering one of their only clear and agreed upon statements is that the financial institutions should not have been bailed out which is exactly what Obama did.

I think they’ve lost whatever purpose they had. Now its just about camping out and annoying the suits.
There’s a group of them near the hospital where I live. I respected them for their resolve, and supported their right to protest - even if I think they’re naive in their thought processes - but really,all that respect when down the toilet when I found out they were coming into the hospital and stealing food and tea and coffee et al from the wards, that they had found staff showers and how to get into them, and were taking other things as well.

Actually the rich pay less and less taxes all of the time. While the shrinking middle class pays more.You realize the ‘rich’ pay the vast majority of taxes in the USA right? Many people don’t contribute in any way and feel they are entitled to even more free government handouts.
