Hello,
I am wondering about the credentials of the bishops who rate movies (how long have they been doing this?) and what constitutes a movie as being morally offensive? I can see movies like Pulp Fiction being morally offensive but what is wrong with The Fast and the Furious? In addition to this, why is The Basketball Diaries rated A-IV/L whereas The Terminator is rated morally offensive. Am I seriously to believe that The Terminator (which I saw at a very young age) is worse than The Basketball Diaries (which I refuse to see because I find it to be offensive)? Personally, I find it offensive that the bishops rate movies at all. And quite frankly, I am embarrassed to be represented by bishops who make such a mockery of our faith. I hope someone can explain to me why I am wrong as I love our faith and want it to survive. However, how can we trust pedophile priests and bishops telling us something is “morally offensive”?
