Why was Jesus Christ crucified on Calvary (not the other places)?

It’s outside the city of Jerusalem, the center of the Jewish religion.

There’s a tradition which claims it’s the place where Adam’s skull is buried. So, it’s peppered with symbolism. The Old Adam died, but the New Adam lived. The Old Adam brought sin into the world, and the New Adam conquered sin.
 
This is the mountain that Abraham was to sacrifice his son. Then God provided a ram. Jesus is the Lamb of God so he took the place of Isaac
