Why was Lot making unleavened bread?

I will start with the caveat that I am no Bible scholar so do not consider this binding in any way shape or form. It would appear that Lot knew that these were angels form the outset. Leaven is sometimes used symbolic of sin or corruption. It could be that if Lot knew that these were messegers from God, he would not want to feed them anything corrupt. Again, I may be way off base, but that is a thought.
 
I think the choice of bread had more to do with expediency. Leavened bread takes much longer to prepare, as it takes time for the leaven to make the dough rise. Since it was already evening (Gen 19:1) and Lot wanted to serve his guests a meal, he chose to serve unleavened bread because it could be prepared more quickly.
