Early morning of Resurrection Sunday, Jesus told the Magdalene “NOLI ME TANGERE” (which means “do not touch me”) because He hasn’t yet ascended to the Father. However, when Jesus appeared to the disciples for the first time in the upper room, He let them touch Him. Why?

Dear friend,

Other more accurate translations have Jesus saying: “Do not hold me,” (Ignatius Bible) or “Do not cling to me,” (New Jerusalem Bible). The point was not that He didn’t want to be touched; but that He wanted her to go and tell His disciples.
