Absolutely… Vatican 2 is still being examined, and the texts of the documents are still being implemented . Much of the pontificates of Paul VI, John Paul II and Benedict XVI was devoted to making sure that the Church remained faithful to its texts—while ruling out falsehoods and mis-interpretations that were outside of them.It is really still too early to make any kind of final judgments. The Church has been around for 2000 years; something that occurred only 50 or so years ago is still evolving and being worked out.
Similarly, the texts of the Council of Trent were also heavily criticized and mis-interpreted for many decades.
The Church continues, as she has always been, to entrust herself in the care of the Holy Spirit to remain faithful to Christ.
