if it was because of what i said, then id prefer you just delete my post and reopen the thread than close it. it wasnt my intent to start any controversy, and i would sincerely like to talk to the op so he has someone to talk to, who has been there and is there. im not trying to stir anything up right now either, im just honestly confused…

If you’d said something inappropriate I think the Forum moderator would have contacted you. If the thread was closed I think you’ll find it was at the OP’s request, but perhaps most likely for personal reasons than any subsequent post. You posted, by so did others, including me!

I don’t see anything in your two posts on the thread that would cause offence. Please rest your mind. You were responding to the OP’s post as someone who knows how depression, and fighting depression, feels. I know how easy it is to plunge back into sadness and self-doubt when you’re prone to depression…but I really don’t think you did or said anything wrong. The OP is vulnerable and may have wished to pull up the drawbridge and continue to try to recover. You know how it is!

Hi iamme, I don’t know why that thread was closed, but it’s generally not a good idea to make another new thread about a closed thread. If you have concerns, it would be better to contact the OP or perhaps a moderator. Furthermore, it is usually forum policy not to discuss mod decisions openly in a public thread.

My guess would be that it was closed because we aren’t doctors and it was discussing a medical problem… that isn’t allowed… and we tend to get touchy about depression in general because of any perceived medical advice/liability issues. I am fairly certain you would have heard from the moderators if it was something you said.
