Why Were we Created?

I always hear it’s simply because He loves us but that doesn’t satisfy me considering the amount of suffering and regret in this world… Don’t those in Hell wish they had not been created?

I appreciate this is a deep topic so I certainly welcome long answers!

Question: Why did God make you?
Answer: God made me to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him forever in the next.

God creates for the joy of creating. He doesn’t need us but he loves us.

You just have to be satisfied with, whatever the ultimate purpose God created us for is a purpose all His own and one that ultimately only He knows. It may be something so complex of a thought that our human minds are not able to comprehend, but it could also be something so simple as to love and adore him with a true love, not something artificial, and not something forced.
 
According to Jewish mysticism, God wanted a dwelling place here in the physical world.
 
God created us to know, love and serve Him in this life so that might enjoy eternal happiness with Him in the next. This answer is simple and clear, but still full of mystery. There are certain things about God that we will not and cannot know in this life, like why God still chose to create humanity fully knowing that evil would co-exist with us. We walk by faith, content to know what God allows us to know. Hope this helps.😃

God is Love…and as for the netherworld…and everlasting nothing-horrors…Don’t you think that God has measured the cost/benefit ratio of His Perfect Act within this place?

God Is Love and to know His will.

This is an interesting point. Does mean God measured it out and the good simply outweighed the bad?

I mean, there are people who wish they were not alive. There are people who take their lives. There are people who go through so much pain and just deep down depression and loneliness. Yes, they can always turn to God. But the point is that they don’t. So is it as simple as “God who is 100% just and loving measured it out and made the right choice”? If Hitler is in Hell right now and he doesn’t want to be there: I think I would want him out. I don’t want anybody, no matter how evil, spending forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever, etc. in torment.

Sorry, I’m going kind of off topic. But as you’ve probably seen I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I have listed questions and I’m going through and asking them all. 😊 It’s these big philosophical ones that I’m struggling to get my head round.

Your correct…The idea of “eternal” torment for a miniscule amount of “wicked behavior” (by raw comparison)…seems unjust. It has scandalized some.

Just a thought, even if Hitler is responsible for the deaths of six million people, God can raise six million people to a greater good life after death.

The following is just a collection of words to challenge the mind to think, if you choose to read further then search for something greater than I have written.
In search of a Greatest or Ultimate Truth for God****

Here is a childlike and yet profound way to test the power of the greatest commandments; when looking for a purpose for the creation of the universe and life. Can God love us more than he loves himself?

Did God have a complete plan for the creation of everything, did he think ahead? Were Christ’s life, death and resurrection planned before the creation of the universe began?
To search for a deeper meaning, was Christ freely given the choice to accept his sacrifice before the creation of the universe began?
What purpose can be so great, that it would compel God to create the universe and life, knowing in advance the suffering of mankind and that his son would die?
Would it be to forgive the sins of mankind, or can there be something greater?

Challenge your mind to find a greatest good purpose for creation; by searching for answers to three questions.

What greatest thing can God create?
God could create all the stars and planets of the universe; he then becomes God the builder. God could create a whole variety of life with almost no intelligence like plants; he now becomes God the gardener’ God could create life with more intelligence but if the knowledge is limited he has now created the animal kingdom. He now becomes God the farmer. God could create life in his own image, a life that could understand him. Can God create anything greater than children in his own image, does he now become God the Father, we pray to God our Father. Does the greatest thing that God creates, depend on the relationship that he can have with them?

What greatest purpose can God have to create children in his own image?
Could love be the greatest reason for God to create children?
Could the ultimate God be a God who loves in the greatest way?

God the Father willingly loves all of mankind as he loves HIMSELF.

Can there be any greater reason to create children, even for God, can God love us more than he loves himself? In a way, God loves us more than he loves himself, because he was willing to do what was good for us but not good for him (send his Son to die). In a sort of contradicting way, God loves himself more than us, because he knows that he is the greatest being in the universe and retains the power of heaven or hell over us. When you ask the question; why did Christ say they are the greatest commandment, can it possibly be because God can do nothing greater?

To find a greatest purpose for all God’s children.
What greatest purpose could God set for humanity? Would it be for everyone to turn to His kind of religion and pray the way that he stipulates, or would it be to banish poverty, gain intellectual superiority, conquer sickness and death, and subdue the universe or is there more?

If the greatest reason God could have to create mankind, is to love us, as he loves himself, then God could create mankind, with the freedom to return God’s love

All of mankind to be created with the freedom to love God the creator unconditionally, are we given the greatest commandment as a guide for this very purpose?

God willingly loves everyone as he loves himself; do we also need this same freedom to love everyone in the same way, so that the truth can be complete for God and mankind.

All of mankind, to be created with the freedom to love their neighbour; as they love themselves unconditionally; are we given the second greatest commandment as a guide?
Is this how God wants his children to be one? He wants us to love each other as we love ourselves.

Could the greatest commandments be a Greatest and Ultimate Truth?

If our greatest purpose for creation is to live by the greatest commandments, then this freedom to love also gives us the choice to do both good and evil.

We can marvel at the great attention to detail that is evident in everything from the microscopic cells of life and right up to the giant structures of galaxies. Can you find any greater purpose for all this to exist? Challenge the above statements in an honest way, test them against any religious beliefs, and test them against any form of logic.

I think we learn a lot from personal experience, from other peoples experiences and also from history about the human society, our behaviour as a group.
Unfortunately Adam choosed the hard way…

No. Those in Hell now know the perfection of God’s Justice. They do not regret having been created but having lost the opportunity to obtain the salvation of their souls.

And they’re not allowed a second chance?

New Question: Will those in Hell be there for eternity or might God decide eventually that they’ve had enough? God is capable of anything. So can we know for sure that those in Hell will remain there forever? Or does this get into the realms of God having no time…? :confused:
