Lets look at this passage. The masters wives are the old kings, not Gods. In a real bible the passage is this,When prophets and patriarchs did it, that means that God sanctioned it. But if you want a direct sanction, here is one:
"And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man. Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;
“And I gave thee thy master’s house, and thy master’s wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.” (2 Sam. 12:7–8)
I says that David’s wives were given to him by God. That is a direct sanction. There are more that can be found if you really wanted to look for them.
Davids Punishment
7 Then Nathan said to David: "You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: 'I anointed you king of Israel. I rescued you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave you your lord’s house and your lord’s wives for your own. I gave you the house of Israel and of Judah. And if this were not enough, I could count up for you still more. 9 Why have you spurned the Lord and done evil in His sight?
You are taking master/lord (notice the lower case “l”, not upper case) out of context. He was not talking about God. You also forgot to continue the passage with 9 and only added 7 & 8 for your own means. Typical lds move to take it out of context and leave out the rest of the passage
