Why would anyone want to be a Mormon or Jehovah Witnesses?

yeah.ok.:rolleyes: of course people question it which is why there alot of protestant churches and only 1 Catholic church which is the only one that can trace its lineage to the apostles paul and peter.

And I can bet all of my retirement money you cannot provide a single shred of evidence the original church was NOT the Catholic Church.

I don’t see any mistake. The Mormon Church does not resemble the original Christian Church.You will not find the unique teachings of Joseph Smith in the ancient Church. The more history and theology you learn the more you will see that the Catholic Church is the original Church started by Christ. The Mormon Church is an invention, not a restoration.

And how has the HS accomplished this?

How does the HS testify? Can you show how the HS does and accomplish this testifying?

How does one test whether what is being testified is true or not? How does one test the truthfulness of a spirit?

A lot of catholics do ask in faith, with real intent and acting no hypocrisy before God…yet the HS tells us the LDS is a not a true church from God…so is the HS testifying to us wrongly?

Are there different kinds of Holy Spirits? Or is there only one?

you MUST be wrong. The OT and NT are full of references to people ordained to Melchedizadek Priesthood, Elder’s Quorum Presidents, Relief Society, Presidents of the Church, 15 Apostles, and bread and water sacraments…

right?

or Christ teaching polygamy, the Apostles practicing polygamy, or no priesthood for black people.

I go by the words of Jesus: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: …” (John 6:63). I think that is the ultimate answer to that question.

Why on earth would Jesus repeatedly tell people they MUST EAT His Flesh and drink His Blood in order to have eternal life;however, moments later tell them the flesh profits absolutely nothing? Is Jesus confused here or what? Here let me show you the common error you commit as many non-Catholics do.

Jesus is NOT refering to HIS FLESH. You see? How easy it was to correct your poor biblical exegsis.
