THE FOLLOWING IS IN NO WAY PERFECT, PLEASE CRITIC!
While you notice it or not, truth is your ability in having sex and your actions in having sex affects your mental and spiritual being. not only will you be affected physically in the obvious ways, but your physical desires affect your mental/spiritual ability. though it may not seem as a big deal, it actually deters your spiritual focus away from God and other important factors in life. For instance, if one was married and became active in adultery, than that person would develop a barrier between his/her family. He/she would begin to look away from marriage partner and ultimately grow further away from the family as a result. The deeper it is explored, the further the gap from a person and their family. God is directly interested in our family as it is not only the stability to human life, but a very direct link to the family we have in Heaven. If you are unwilling to attempt a stable and effective family here on Earth, then how would it ever be possible to partake with our Family in Heaven? This is true in any circumstance, even if the main factor is not sexually related. If you decided to partake in premarital sex, then you are putting more interest in the idea of sex rather the idea of family (which is lust). Your desire to wait expresses whether or not you are more serious about establishing a stable relationship/future family/mental&spiritual comfort or the pleasures that bring restricted happiness/physical comfort. The relationship centered only on the physical aspects will suffer as our physical make up is only momentary. therefore it’s happiness will not last (as well as it’s pain/crave). If we are to only concern ourselves with the physical, then our spirit will suffer it’s necessary strengths to bring us closer to God. This creates a gap between us and God which ultimately deters us from God’s plan (so that we may Love Him, Serve Him, Know Him…be with Him). Our Spiritual lack also deters us from a successful relationship with the ones we care most about as it is our Spirit ( or character) that determines our ability in loyalty, discipline, and respect. Or in other words our ability to love those we care about, express in ability to care, and remain within reasonable relationship for those we care. So, if we are loyal we wouldn’t run away when we are afraid; if we are disciplined, we could help those we care and remain focus in them/for them; and respectful in the manner we act. Over all we should remain focus towards the spiritual/mental aspects towards one’s relationship. Even when two are married, the ability in having sex and our openness towards sex is built largely upon our mental/spiritual ability to support not only our partners but life in general (i.e. children).
This is also why we are not to partake in contraceptives, premarital sex, abortion, etc. It furthers our inability to ‘adapt’ and understanding about LOVE. God is Love, and therefore our means to know Him, serve Him, Love Him also presides in our abilities to know, serve, and love our neighbors and those we are in relationships with. we do not express our desire/ability to love a girlfriend/wife if you are only concerned with your interests in having sex. even with the thought towards it being ‘for the other person’ there is still the over all reality of it merely serving the physical purpose. Which, again, only serves physical pleasure rather spiritual/mental connectivity. If you are in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, then remember that relationship’s purpose and goal = to prepare for the next stage = marriage (also remember that not all boyfriend/girlfriend relationships reach marriage). Within marriage is the responsibility&respect of sex. I am not saying within marriage it is your responsibility to have sex but sex requires sound responsibility and therefore sound judgment/reason. In this responsibility is the connection between husband and wife and ability to support the wife/husband as well as children. Which is why the Church teaches that we must be open to having children when having sex and married to present the capability/stability in having children. After all the purpose of sex is??? REPRODUCTION! The connectivity within sex allows proper father/mother relationships. the following is not fully thought out but wanted to leave this here so that it may be reviewed as well. this is where I started thinking about it.{ It also - in some ways - fulfills our understanding of love, for . If we are not open to expressing love (which includes raising children) then we are restricting it. If we restrict our ability to know/understand love than we restrict our ability in understanding and loving God.}] In many ways this opens our ‘text book’ on love and God to a new chapter as we are presented in first hand experience God’s relationship with us which closely follows that of a parent. So for those who are married (after building a relationship of respect and responsibility through the time being married and in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship) express love in the open chance for extension of life = sex (as life can only be created by God, while here on Earth it is mostly an extension of another life form). Also it is in many ways the partake in creating a new life with God.
Therefore to partake in an action that has the ability in understanding one’s partner (husband/wife), further understand and being open to love and many ways God in a way that restricts one’s spiritual/mental ability restricts the connection with others as well as God. Meaning that it is incredibly reasonable that God would be concerned in such matters as His plan is for ALL humans (including you) be in relationship with Him and you are taking actions that restrict that for yourself as well as another. So from now on if you are not married, restrict yourself from the physical focus in a relationship and open yourself to the more important parts of it as well as taking a deeper look into Love/God. If you are married, take the focus away from sex and it’s extreme connection towards a good marriage. Too many people think a good marriage is to have plenty of sex, while at the same time there are too many divorces…a connection between the two? Obviously yes!!!
Simply put, sex and a persons focus/desire to have sex takes away from/puts a limit on the spiritual/mental ability in a person/connection that is required in all relationships and especially the relationship we have with God. That is why God cares.
