It’s a passage of the bible that has always made me stop and think…
The Son of Man is to go, just as it is written of Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had never been born.” (Matthew 26:24; Mark 14:21).
In reply to the earlier question “What’s the difference between Judas and St. Peter?” Fr Vincent mentioned * “it is possible that at the last moment of his life, Judas could have repented and asked forgiveness. If he did, he could be in heaven, waiting for us. All things are possible in our Lord, Jesus Christ!”*
If Judas is in heaven why would Jesus say "better for that man if he had never been born.”?
Or is Jesus referring to all those who reject (betray) him, even after his resurrection?
