Why would the Pope snub Boston?

Because allot of the clergy and congregations are liberals.:yup:

I was about to say the same thing. 🤷 It is amazing that some think the Onion is an actual newpaper. :doh2:
 
If the Pope could bi-locate, he could visit alot more cities.

If the pope is snubbing Boston by not going there, how many thousands of other towns and cities in the US is he also snubbing by not going to them?
 
Boston seems to think that a Papal visit is a right rather than a privilege. If that were the case, every city in America with a Catholic Church is entitled to a Papal visit.

Also, this disappointment seesm to stem from the presumption that this will be Benedict’s only visit to America before his death. We shouldn’t make that mistake. Maybe Benedict will live to be 120 and visit America 20 times–who knows?

Also, over 260 Popes never went to Boston. Only during the past forty years has the Pope ever really left the Vatican.
 
Have you never seen a Bostonian’s map of the U.S. There is Boston, half way across the page is Worcester, and beyond that the Wild West. 😉

There was a story of two little old ladies from Boston visiting California. One commented on how dry it was. The other replied it was because they were 3000 miles from the ocean. 😃
 
…WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT…how many popes have snubbed?? New Zealand, Fiji, Espiritu Santo etc… get over it folks the man is a man and an old man and the world is so big…heck has a Pope ever been to Brisbane surely the backyard of Paradise!😃 🙂 :eek: 👍

Because the Red Sox won the World Series, the Patriots are undefeated and will probably win the Super Bowl and the Celtics are playing really well and have a good shot at the NBA Finals.

Boston has been blessed enough for one year…

An older friend of the family recollected a childhood story from when they visited their family in northern New York state back in the '50s (at the height of the spaghetti western phenomenon) and he said his New York family asked them if they still had shootouts like on TV here. 😃

Now, if the Pope passed up Boston for New Jersey he really would be snubbing it. 👍
