Thanks for the article…it reminded me to fill up the little font by the door…I’ve neglected that …
the kids used to always dip a finger in and bless themselves going out the door to catch the school bus.
My parents have a font,always had holy water in the house by the door.
I think it’s ok,but I’ll often use a little holy water in the sign of the cross in the direction of family in strife when
I’m worried and there’s distance .
 
I have put a little bottle of holy water in the glove compartment of our car and those of my three sons. One of my sons had a potentially fatal accident when he fell asleep at the wheel and flipped the car over on the road. It landed on the roof and he came out unscathed.

My car went out of control on a patch of road beside the ocean, crossed the road four times and went up the side of a ditch before coming to a halt. I came out bruises, the car was still drivable but the real miracle was that for the few minutes this was happening there was no other traffic on the road. I am fully convinced that the holy water and our guardian angels were both at work and for that I thank God every time I think of it.ii
