Why is it that I feel so overwhelmed by this battle between 1m1w and the falsity they want to call ssm? I feel like everywhere I go (i live in cali), everything I read or see is always pro gay. I never see any thing from the Catholic faith unless I’m buried here at caf… Is the Church doing anything to combat this threat to the image of a family? Any words of inspiration would help also. I feel beyond overwhelmed by this. Like there’s no hope and we will be over run… Sigh…
 
Hope springs eternal! If we all do our little bit in our sphere of influence, and pray much, it will help.
 
unfortunately it doesn’t seem that anybody is doing much of anything about it. Seems more like people are turning the other cheek and not standing up for what’s right.

I know Matthew 5 v 10-12 tells me to rejoice in these moments, but shouldn’t we have a zeal for God much like Jesus did when he started turning over tables and stuff??
 
Thankfully, there are organizations, groups and individuals who feel strongly about such subjects and do discuss what can be done politically to help the situation, and educate others as to what is happening and what can be done about it. These people do not make the headlines, but the Lord knows who they are.

Even if we are overrun, that doesn’t mean there’s no place for hope. The early Church was persecuted-we may well be again-and, in fact, it’s already started, as you imply. And on the bright side, we have a new bishop in northern california who’s quite conservative and aligned with Church teachings, which I assume you know opposes ssm, et al.

Well, if it isn’t that, its drugs.
However it isn’t as bad as the first few centuries when being catholic meant death.
 
Yeah I know what you mean brother, I live in Palm Springs CA. I was told recently that they’re going to start teaching gay history in our school’s. I’m like; what is gay history? I guess people have forgotten all about morals. The best I can do is pray.

The New Evangelization and JP2s Theology of the Body is a great place to start.

Do a search here and you will find many resources. Find a community that is trying to do something about upholding the sanctity of marriage and get involved. It’s the only way to change anything is by doing something about it.
