I heard and saw him say it on his television program before a large audience many years ago, his “service” I guess he’d call it. No sign of the Eucharist at this “service” or anything else like that. I don’t think Jesus played the piano like Jimmy did then.

During his “sevices”, he would sometimes say, “I am not a theologian” as if being a theologcian was something bad. He was pandering to his ignorant audience.

That’s not what most protestants are like at all. That’s the TV version in much the same way that Fr. Albert Cutie was our TV version. The protestants in your town are very likely to be much different than what you see on TV.

Ok, I agree, what is your point here? What is your motivation? Do you think Catholics are too rough on Protestants or what ? Did you read the original post ? I’m just curious.
