Wiccans, Pagans, and other Earth-based religions

My post was not against religious tolerance. God gave people free will. Who am I to force what He will not.

He also gave Christians instructions on speaking truth to the others. There is only one way.

Joh 14:6 Jesus saith to him: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No man cometh to the Father, but by me.

Hey Buddy, I won’t argue with that, but it seems to me that Jesus asks us to freely give ourselves to him. I don’t think forcing others to kneel at the feet of Jesus is quite what the Lord had in mind when he freely gave himself for us.

Buddies now, great!!!​

I’m not into forcing anyone to kneel at the feet of Jesus. I was saying that’s the best place to pray. We don’t need a building to pray (worship) as Jesus told the woman in John 4.

Why don’t you be Jesus for them? Love them. Seek to understand them. Teach them. Be patient with them. Let the light of the Lord shine through you. No one comes to the Lord because they are coerced or intimidated. If you want people to look to Jesus, they have to look through you.

Good comment. If I knew any, I sure hope I’d reveal the love Jesus has for them to them.

Like I said in another thread, I always get a chuckle when a person of one religion calls someone else’s religion “superstition”.

Dear Son, I agree it is all of our responsibility, however, we have all failed, to do the best we are able. Having Dominion over all GOD’S creatures appears to mean, especially to those seeking gross material wealth…dominate, destroy, pillage, burn, cut, at will! I do not care what anyone believes in, be it Buddism, Hinduism, Judaism, Christianity, even Catholics…as long as all HUMANITY becomes responsible for the Earth and all her creatures, including all her Earthly elements…the Air, the Water, the Land under our feet…seriously, humanity has not been taking care of the Earth. The Pagan Religions are religions whose rites and rituals, healing herbal concoctions and earth/elements ritual , include the use and respectful replacement of those elements used…they love and respect the Earth and her bounty. There is a belief in GOD"S Plan of Evolution which states…All GOD"S creation evolves…the mineral kingdom will become the vegetable kingdon, the vegetable kingdom will become the animal kingdom, and the animal kingdom will become the human kingdom…all evolve, birth, death, re-birth, perfecting, incarnating, reincarnating…once human kingdom is reached, we continue to reincarnate until we perfect and become worthy to Return to GOD. If all religions observed and knew of this written WORD, maybe we would all respect the Land, our Food, our Animals and most of ALL our care of each other as Humanity…
 
If we’re only considering this as a good thing because it’s ‘politically correct’, are all ‘religions’ acceptable. While it’s said, there should be a ‘tolerance’, should all ‘religions’ be acceptable, and accommodated, in a Christian nation? What about satanism?

It’s about freedom of religion, and not infringing on first amendment rights.

And yes, Satanism is a religion, and is protected under someone’s first amendment right. I happen to know a Satanist, and it’s not at all like the nonsense that people say about it.

There’s a difference between acceptable and tolerable. In my opinion, Satanism is not acceptable, however, I will accord a Satanist the exact same rights to religion that Christianity enjoys.

And, while the majority of our population is Christian, we are not a Christian nation. We are a nation mostly made up of Christians. It is a fine distinction, but an important one.

Can you clear up what you are trying to say? Are you trying to say it’s real, or not? Sorry, the typos were really bad:o Not trying to be a jerk, just saying.
 
*I know a lot about Wicca, Christian Wicca, Christo-Paganism and Celtic Paganism because I’m a professional writer, and I’ve written many articles about these topics over the years. I’m very tolerate of people’s religious choices because it’s not my place to judge anyone, and I believe people should follow their hearts with regards spiritual matters. I’ve had Wiccan friends and I’ve interviewed countless pagans over the years, and I have to say, I’d rather deal with JW’s than pagans. From my own personal experience, I’ve lost friendships with people who have turned to Wicca because they were intolerable of MY religious choices (not because I judged them). And the pagans that I’ve interviewed bashed Christianity and Catholicism from their first to their last words to me. This was many, many people over the years, and every one of them did this. Every one! NO excuse for that kind of insensitive, immature, outrageous behavior. They proclaim to be open minded and accepting? Only among their own. If you disagree with them, expect a hissy fit. And you could disagree with them by simply wearing a cross around your neck. That would be enough to start them up.

I do want to say that Christian Wiccans and Christo-Pagans are basically Christians who practice differently than most other Christians. They are rejected by mainstream pagans as “wanna bes” who are afraid to let go of Christ.
