I have tried every search here on CAF and can NOT find a forum for widow/widowers.

My beloved husband of 24 1/2 years and father of our 6 children died on Nov.24,2014 after a 3 and a half year battle with breast cancer.I would love to find that forum here to be a part of.
Does anyone know of such a forum on this site?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
TIA

My beloved wife went to Heaven July, 2014. I really don’t know the custom with wedding rings. Personally, I vowed never to take it off. My wife was my one and only and will never marry again if God brought her back home. One day, however, ring slipped off after taking a shower. I saw this as a sign wife was telling me that it was ok to remove my ring and move on. So I whispered “yes dear” and joined my ring with hers on her portrait. Just sharing. 🙂

Why restrict yourself to a widow/widower forum, and be part of the bigger picture. Any problems questions and sharings can be covered by many members who have lost a family member are on the different forums. Just a suggestion.

When someone loses a spouse, there are hundreds of well meaning people giving advice or condolences, often by those who have lost a father, mother, aunt, uncle, grandparent, etc. It all seems very hollow. Its one thing to lose a aged mother or a close uncle, it is completely different to lose a relatively young spouse. At least it seems so to those who go through it.

My wife died two and half years ago [after 51 yeas of marriage]. She was buried with her ring. I still wear mine; though skin irritations force me to change hands from time to time. I hope to be buried with mine.

Thank you for your sensitive and understanding response.
Losing a beloved spouse of almost a quarter or a century is not the same as some other losses. The loss is profound but not the same.

I am still looking for a suitable forum here on CAF and can’t really understand why there isn’t a good place for us to post. One would think this would be the perfect place for Catholic widow/widowers to come together and talk about our losses/experiences.

I’m not ashamed: I’m grieving.

We have forums for all sorts of interests and yet there is nothing for something that many of us unfortunately experience. I’d love to have a forum here that we could safely post.
I just don’t know who to contact to make this happen.
