So DW (mamacita) and I were able to get out hands on the Wii Fit at Wal Mart at midnight the other night. Yesterday was our first day to use this and let me say…WOW!!! This is amazing. When DW first mentioned this I thought that it was a cool idea and she mentioned wanting to get one and I thought sure, why not. But now that we have it, I am just as excited about it as she is. I cannot believe it.

Started a “workout” last night and can honestly say that I am sore this AM.

If you have a Wii Fit, what do you like about it? What has your experience been like? If you do not have one, do you want one?

If you are using it, let’s use this thread to track progress. No need to throw specific BMI and weight out there (unless you want to) but we can say how much we have lost. The progress that we have made.

We bought ours yesterday morning (Happy Anniversary to us, lol, it was our gift to each other! How romantic, right? 😃 ).

I’ve only been on it for a short time and think it will really help motivate me–finding the time is always a challenge for me, though. My dh spent quite a while on it last night and really likes it. I’ll have to fight the kids off of it when the baby take a nap in an hour or so and let you know more from me then! 😉

I don’t have one (might get one, we’ll see 👍 ) but maybe all you who do have it could answer a question I have… I know it’s a thing like a scale that you can stand on, do pushups on, etc… But is it like a game where it’s fun, or like a normal workout tape you could get, or what? I am confused. lol

It is a game that is fun as well. There are specific exercises for aerobics, strength training, yoga, and balance. They are all workout based games. It is not your “typical” workout tape, it is more interactive and much more fun.

How cool! My dh and I are thinking about buying it…wow, you have me curious now! I would love to check it out. 🙂 Keep up the great work, you two! Do the kids use it?😃

Actually, yeah the kids do use it. DD (5) actually has a better score on the ski jump than anyone in the family. I think that DS (3) would have a hard time with a lot of it as it is not targeting him, he has played the soccer (heading) game. DS (9) has not played yet, that I know of. He setup his profile that is all.

(BTW stop by LCT and visit us sometime 😉 )

Us “chatty” folk look forward to hearing from you. 😃

Also, if you have a Wii, I highly recommend the Wii Fit! It is so much fun. (Addicting like GH)

But it’s sitting in the closet waiting for Christmas along with the Wii. :o

So now we’re budgeting to buy and make sure we have a ocntroller for everyone in the family. :o

Wii fit is great if it is only for the simple reason my 17 year old daughter and 10 year old son is interested in health. They love it! 👍

Oooooo I LOVE my Wiii Fit!!! All of my friends have created Miis so that they can play when they come over!!! I ‘unlocked’ FreeStep today and did 1200 steps in 10 minutes absolutely loving it!!! Sad to say that I have only lost about 2lbs since I bought it5 weeks ago but still loving it!!!

Its the Yogo and Step for me but the boys all love the ‘balance’ games!!

**I too, love the aerobics basic step!! :bounce: It is soooo much fun!! I am waiting for DH to get finished working out at the moment so that I can get my workout in for the day. I am big time using it to lose weight~!!! I will keep ya’ll posted on how many pounds I shed. 😃
This thing is just so brilliant!!!

To whoever asked, NO it is nothing like a workout video. Believe me, I bought 2 videos in the past 2 months and couldn’t ‘hang’ w/ those ladies!! But this is completely different!! 👍

(HELLO SHARON!!! :bounce: 👋 We miss you over on the LCT!! :o )**

According to Wii Fit I have lost a couple lbs in a week. Not sure that this is 100% accurate, but hey, it is nice to hear that they are lost instead of found.

Yea that what it told me. I didn’t believe the weigh in. I was 266! The last time I went to the doctor (about a week ago) I was 238 so I will take the 4 pounds I lost on the wii 🙂

Ummm… pardon my ignorance… the wii weighs you???
When you stand on the board that comes with the game it will give you your BMI - Body Mass Index and it will give you your weight as well.

The board is what you use for most all of the exercises.

See the You Tube video in post #4. 😃

Can it be set so that it doesn’t automatically give that info? I don’t have one (cannot even get a Wii console, the supply is so restricted!), but I do want one eventually. I would like to know that I can get on it and not have my roommate or any visitors see the numbers.

Yes, you can set it so that you need a ‘password’ to unlock your own info.

Isn’t that right, MM? Or no? 🤷 **

:yup:

You are given the option when you setting everything up to set a password. The password will protect anyone from using your character (or Mii) or seeing any info. The info is not displayed on screen unless you go to that in the game.

Thanks mama and Mirror… I actually have been shopping for scales and this would be a much more fun version… not to mention motivational…
