OK… now I am absolutely dying to get this… I told dh about it last night… he isn’t/wasn’t so sure about the scale thing but I told him you can password it…

I have wii sports and love that one too Jennifer…

OK… I thought of another question… does it have stuff you can do together like a 2 person game but not?? I thought it might be fun to do something with dh on it that will do us some good…
My DH cracked my code! I password protected it to salvage what is left of my self-respect regarding my weight, and used what I thought was a super secret pin but he cheated and guessed it anyway. Ugh.

It doesn’t really have 2 person games but we “compete” against each other on the different challenges since it keeps track of the top 10 scores on each challenge.

:yup: Us too!

😊 Our oldest (9) he has some scores that are better than us.

My 4 year old can out bowl! We just got our Wii this past weekend, and I fel like I need to see a chiropractor!

Anyway, I just found a Wii Fit, so help is on the way. Paid a bit more than retail for it, but hey, I’m just a bit impatient!

:yup:

You are given the option when you setting everything up to set a password. The password will protect anyone from using your character (or Mii) or seeing any info. The info is not displayed on screen unless you go to that in the game.
Thanks! This is good to know. Like I said, I have not been able to get a Wii yet, but I am looking forward to the day I have one and can use the Wii Fit program. It really looks like a lot of fun! (And I have never in my life ever said that about any type of exercise!! LOL!)

My wife and I were shopping at Target last weekend and were fortunate enough to find a single Wii console on the shelves. Apparently a mom bought it for her children, but returned it when they acted up 😃 There was a single Wii Fit package on the shelves as well, but I didn’t know what it was until I got home and started dong a little research. Needless to say, by the time I made it back to the store the next day, the Wii Fit was gone 😦

So we’ve been searching local Wal-Mart and Target stores, but they’ve all sold out. One Wal-Mart received 8 of them this morning. One of my co-workers checked it out at lunchtime, and they’d already sold out.

I hope I’m able to get one soon. My wife and I have been working on healthy living habits (and I’ve managed to lose roughly 15 pounds in 5.5 weeks), and the last piece of the puzzle is an at-home exercise routine. I’m hoping it looks fun enough for the kids to get involved, too!

I must say, though, that the Wii Sports gives a relatively decent workout. The boxing and tennis games had me sweating in no time at all.

You all have me very excited about the Wii Fit! Currently, it is sitting in the bottom of my closet waiting for our 18th Wedding Anniversary on the 6th of June. Now if I do it religiously, will I be a swimsuit model by the end of Summer??😉

God Bless!

First, congratulations on your 18th anniversary! Why wait until the 6th? Open it up now as an early anniversary present! 👍

And it couldn’t hurt your swimsuit-model goals. We’re just looking for healthier hearts, though 😛

 Yikes!! I heard it would be popular but had no idea that it would be THAT popular!!! 🤷

Good thing DH (MM) went to Wally World at midnight last week Tuesday when they went out on the shelves, he almost didn’t go. :o

I hope you can get your hands on one really soon, you will love it!!!
There really aren’t any 2 people games but like Chovy said it is fun trying to ‘outdo’ a family member’s score on a particular exercise.🤷 **

**(chanting) OPEN IT!

               OPEN IT!!
I don’t know how you can hold out, you obviously are stronger than I am. 😊 :o 🤷

I wish if I did it religiously that I’d be a swimsuit model by the end of Summer. 😊

I plan on letting everyone know about my goals being met or not met by the 7th of June (I think that is my deadline on the Wii calendar for my 3 lbs of weight loss goal).
Anyone else want to post their losses (not gains, LOL!😉 ) when they meet their deadline?? **

The Wii Play and Wii Sports are quite the workout too, aren’t they? Glad you got your hands on a Wii and Wii Fit. We just got ours in April, we were waiting for the price to drop on the consoles but we were too impatient to wait any longer. 😊 🤷 **

**Chovy,

Where did you and Kraz get your Wii and Wii Fit all in the same day?? Were there very many of the Fits on the shelves?? **

We got the Wii Fit at Walmart, and then called around until we found a Wii at Gamestop. They had 2. Yesterday I saw about 10 Wii Fits at a game store at an unpopular mall. I think the key is to go to a place that is somewhat undesirable as fewer people are shopping there, lol. Then yesterday we were out and about and checked a blockbuster for a mario kart. They had several Wiis, Wii Fit, and the Mario Kart (as well as the Mario galaxy game which we did not get.)

Okay, I’m way to cyber-shopped out for one day (bought a new DSLR camera today and restocked rosary making supplies). Can someone post what they paid for their Wii game console and the Wii Fit game here in the US?

This sounds really interesting. It would be great for all of us. My DD is 5 yo and she loves Hulabaloo. I know she would really get into the activities you are describing on the Wii Fit. I watched the trailer. Much more info than the TV commercials.

BTW, Amazon is a great resource for games as well. They have Mario Kart in stock and if you take the Super Saver shipping, you get no tax and no shipping. They have the Sports Pak for $19.99, which is less than anywhere else including Costco.

Yes, especially the boxing game!

This article is a Wii workout regimen (without the Wii Fit) for those of you who don’t have the Fit, yet.
**WOW!! That’s awesome!! :yup: When I did boxing (only 1 time) w/ DH I was sweating profusely! It really is a great workout. I played DH in tennis and he was making fun of me because I was running all over the family room trying to hit the ball even though you can just stand still and do it. I couldn’t stand still, it was just ‘so real’ that I thought I had to run around to get the ball. 😊 🤷

Kristen, do you have a Wii?? **

My parents do pout
We have a xbox 360. Do we use it? Not really? Will DH sell it so we can buy a Wii? Noooooooooo. It’s not a “gamers console”. pout
Did I mention Vivi loves it and is exhausted every time we play it at MeeMee and Poppy’s?

**That is too cute!! I bet you love watching her play it! How old is she? Our DS (3yo) is hilarious when he plays it!! The things he says when he does good/bad just leave us speechless!! He’s hilarious!! Is Vivi like that when she plays Wii?? **

She’s 3, as well. Well, almost 4 (going on 16!)
She freaks out with excitement when the ball hits a pin (any pins!). And then she goes “awwwwwwww” when it’s a gutter ball.

We actually turn the controller over so the trigger is on top. She has an easier time handling it then.
